Customer Reviews This Mixer is a SURVIVOR Date: 2007-11-12 | Rating: 5 I am a breast cancer survivor, but I can't say the same for the half a dozen hand mixers I owned before this one. One of our holiday traditions is oatmeal cookies, which are an extraordinarily thick combination of oats, shortening, sugar and flour. It has been the demise of all of my previous mixers, some of just shorted out, one caught on fire. THIS KitchenAid however, has the power and torque to make quick work of those cookies and so much more. The style of the mixing blades makes them very easy to clean. The digital operation is incredible, and I've only had to use about half the power the mixer has. I've owned this mixer through several batches of many cookies and waited 2 years to write this review because I wanted to confidently say - this is the real SURVIVOR. Never used anything better! I was amazed when I made cookies with this mixer. It's so easy to use and works great! She absolutely loves this mixer and not just because it is pink! The beaters are easy to put in and take out as well as clean(I can attest to that part) and she says it's one of the lightest she's ever used. I can do with Pink if She likes it and....She does! The color isn't the most impressive asset this mixer has, it's the "Ability to Whipp up a Meringue in a very few minuites". "We" like the Digtal display and Seven speeds. Not to be a "Wimp", it mixes chocolate chip cookie dough with power to spare. I love tools and appliances that "WORK" and this one does!
