Although Amazon had written it was a 7 speed and in another location said it was a 5 speed, the seller (not Amazon) called to let me know it was a 5 speed and if I still wanted it. I thought that was very considerate of the seller. It did not matter to me if it was a 5 speed or 7 speed. Either works better then what I've been used to buying! It is very quiet and and came with a dough hooks and a liquid blender rod. Refurbs are the way to go...it saves me money and they work very well.
